Sleep Apnea Sufferers Can Now Breathe Easier...

There are a lot of people in the US that suffer from sleep breathing disorders--50 to 70 MILLION Americans, and that's a conservative estimate. Sleep-related breathing disorders (SRBD) can be deadly. And our office has experience treating those who suffer from the disorder. We can begin to diagnose people who sufer from the disease during a routine dental visit. And we have saved the lives of many patients by offering the right intervention to improve their quality of life.

Many people who have already been diagnosed and treated for SRBD have difficulty tolerating the most common treatment for the problem--the CPAP device.

It is uncomfortable for many patients, and some even discontinue using it because their spouses have a hard time tolerating the noise the CPAP makes. It is a tough situation, because it is probably the most effective method for treating SRBD.

We play a significant role in solving this problem. We have made oral appliances that open the airway, and improving the ability to breathe while sleeping. It's called the TAP appliance. Our patients have found it is more tolerable than a CPAP mask.
